First (real) snow of Winter 2011/2012

Jan 19, 2012 20:50

The snow from the Northwest arrived yesterday. Tiny little flakes. Lots and lots of tiny little flakes. This is the Rocky Mountains. We should be used to a lot of tiny little flakes. Then answer me two things... (1)why can't they seem to move the snow and (2)why can't anyone drive in the little snow that is still on the road? It's just a minor irritation, that's all.

I really should have moved my car from my driveway after I barreled in just so that I could clear out what I scraped through but there was an accident about half a block south of me and people were being kind of wild as they passed by the scene so I didn't think that I should be close enough to the road where they could start sliding and end up sitting on my bumper.

And all those little flakes? There are so many of them and they're still falling so I'll be moving more of them tomorrow. Might as well just deal with it then!

But I bring you pictures!

Here is Nic and Papa. For the new or uninitiated, Nic is my nephew and Papa would be my father.

Here is the snowman that Nic and Papa built.

This is Nic's very first snowman, btw.

Here is Nic attempting to catch a snowflake.
