Funny wins every time. No one ever likes the stuff I like. Everyone always likes the silly stuff I don't even edit.

Maybe the lesson is that trying to hard comes across as trying too hard?

Or that the universe is contrary and we should learn to accept it XD

Crack always seems to get more comments - maybe because people can say 'LOL' or 'very funny' while if it's angst they're not sure what to say or how best to say it? There's also the length - people might have time to read shorter crack fic. But yes, I've been there. All writers probably have.

Also, do print it out. It's nice to have hard copies of novella length fics :D
