Piles and Piles of Books

I finally opened the boxes of books that were left on my porch this week. The woman who delivered them has been reading Harlequin romance novels since I've known her. While the boxes did contain some Nora Roberts and the like, it was full of Harlequins from the last ten years. There may be other boxes with older books coming. I'm not sure if she's already given them away or if they're still in storage.

Anyway, I now have nearly six stacks of romance books. While they aren't exactly main stream or whatever everyone wants to read... it's the backbone of Evergreen Book's romance section! I don't have many romance books so I'm tickled to have them!

While I was out and about this weekend (reunion, wedding, funeral), I made sure to talk up the bookstore because 1)I need more books (!!!) and 2)I need to make sure that the word gets out to local people, the kind that will come to my store because they're related, they read or a little of both!

At all three of those events mentioned above, I got a lot of sun. Too much sun! Now I'm brining myself in vinegar in the hopes that it takes out the little bit of sting and red that I've got going on so far. It puts me in mind to go get some Salt N Vinegar chips! Mmmmm!

ALSO...

J.R. Ward fans should look up her old Harlequins, BTW. I bought a group of ebooks just to see if they were worth the time and money. They are! No vampires but still a good store and lovely characterizations!
