Happiest Place on Earth, the Disney-inspired SGA story that I wrote while on vacation in SoCal has reached 200 hits at AO3! That is so very cool! My Big Bang story is at 91 hits and I have a Ronon/Lorne story that has over 100! So Cool! It just tickles me that people are reading my stuff! I really love that hit counter feature on AO3, it gives more of an idea of how much a story is read (and ain't that the ego boost! \o/ )

I had experimented a bit with hidden counters on LJ fics years ago and the results are quite amazing. for one person who comments, at least 50-100 just go through. You were probably more read in Harry Potter than you ever thought, they just didn't tell you!

I like the hidden counters on LJ as well. It's always fun to go back and look at some of the stories that I know have been rec'ced just to see the people who still drop by!

It's only been recently that I've come to appreciate being rec'ced, though. I didn't belong to the right HP communities or post in the right place. I just wanted readers to miraculously be drawn to my stories by osmosis or something. *grins* I have some of them up at AO3 and they get some traffic but just not like my SGA stuff. Of course, that's quite the location to post Stargate stuff in general, though.

Of course, it's also pretty silly to compare the two fandoms. Like comparing... gorillas and elephants. Yes, they're both big but they aren't really alike in any other way. I like the SGA fandom ever so much more!
