Sunny Day, Final Part

Mar 08, 2009 16:10

As promised, here is the rest of my Sunny Day outing. When you last left me I was heading to Dulwich Park, just a 100 yards from Edward Alleyn House...

...On the grassy bits to the side of the pathway, I noticed the first signs of spring...

...The park was packed with families enjoying an afternoon out. Lots of kids in bicycles, tricycles and scooters as they were on hire a little way into the park. Being mindful of not accidentally photographing unknown children, I headed for the pond to capture some wildlife...

...There were a mixture of fowl and much movement around the pond. Here is a sample of what I saw...

...I then headed to the other side of the pond where some folk had found a quiet tree to shelter under...

...Nearby, I found an empty bench to picnic on. A la 'Mr Bean' and watched the ducks amongst the willows...

...The afternoon was drawing on and the sun became low enough to start reflecting on the water. This is what I'd been waiting for...

...The sun was getting low now and colours around the park were starting to change...

...Altogether, it was a great afternoon and location to be out and about with one's camera...

...Time to go home!
