Well, I am employed again. Just part time retail and at a mall that's about 16 miles from my house, but I love the store and it's a paycheck. Now if I can just get another one to supplement all will be well. I was all excited about another job I had applied for that sounded perfect for me, but I just found out from my former mentor (who is on the board who will be hiring for it) that the way they had to write the position description misrepresented what they are looking for. They are actually looking for someone with strong connections to the corporate and non-profit scene in Louisville. Which is not me. And then she ended the email with "But who knows what the applicant pool will look like?" Not quite the good news I was hoping for. At this point, I'm going to hope and pray that she will hire me to be her assistant in January when her assistant leaves. I can do retail until then.
