Gas Shortages Suck
And I don't even have a car. But it is impacting this whole city and I feel bad asking people for rides. I swear people have gone crazy. Can you imagine waiting an hour and a half to get gas? And some stations are rationing it so that people can only get 5 gallons.
Many places have turned off their credit card machines in order to be able to ration. Which of course means that people are waiting longer as people have to walk into the store, wait in line, then walk back out.
I bet the Prius (and other savvy hybrid) owners are laughing their asses off at the rest of the poor saps that have regular cars.
I was going to rent a car for a day starting tomorrow afternoon so that I could get home Sunday night and also make it to my doctor's appointment Monday morning. But I don't want to deal with the gas shortage myself. So either I will get a bike or call a taxi Monday morning.
