So, I've been working my ass off picking up shifts over the holidays at the clinic. Which I've been truly grateful for, since I can really use the money. Especially as I am taking some time off and coming home to MI.
And the clinic, which is currently privately owned by shareholder vets, might be bought out by VCA. Which is really good for me. My office manager told me if this happens she wants to bump up my hours and *gasp* give me benefits. Currently they keep my hours at about 30 (although it always goes over a bit - it's an emergency clinic after all, and sometimes hell breaks loose late).
Things are going great with the new man, woohoo!! Much better than the last one. It's still new, so we'll see what happens.
It got so cold today. Yesterday was around 60, and today it barely reached into the 40s. And so blustery that it felt much colder than that. And the low is 22 tonight (last year there was one night that got to freezing). So I was driving home, and what did I see? Snow!! Blah!! The native Georgians were so excited (even though it won't even stick). I think I might be coming down with something, but it's hard to say because I react the same way to drastic temperature drops.
Overall, I have to say life is pretty wonderful.
