I kind of thought that everyone knew how to massage away menstrual cramps, but I found out tonight that I was wrong. So I thought I'd share my 'secret' with you all. It also works for constipation and gas.
Using the flat of your hand (no fingers, finger tips, or thumbs!), place the palm of your hand over the lower abdomen, and then rock the flat of your hand back and forth and then move into circles. Push deep but with the wide, flat part of your hand. This actually helps to get things to move around and loosen up. Then start actually lifting up your hand and move it out a little bit. Spiral out from the lower abdomen so you work the uterus and then the intestines.
Most important -- no fingers, finger tips, or thumbs! It's too much pressure, too sharp, and too painful.
