Sadness
I wanted to gift LM Montgomery's (author of children's classic "Anne of Green Gables") "Blue Castle" to a friend.
Barnes didn't have it. Borders didn't have it. Amazon didn't have it. It is now out of print.
I go on the publisher's website. To add insult to injury, essentially all of her books have gone out of print (she wrote ~22) aside from the 8 Anne novels and 3 from another series.
I would have been less heartbroken if this had been some random author that I loved as a child, but she's a classic!
I certainly hope this means kids these days are just reading Harry Potter and the like, instead of not reading at all.
And in a slightly related note, the next day I searched for a DVD I wanted. Also no longer being manufactured. Boo.
