Broken Wing Bird Flies Again
It had been so long since he'd stood on his own two legs. But he could feel energy surging in his limbs, so different from the fatigue and weakness of the innumerable months, days, years, that had comprised his recent life. He felt strong again. He could do anything. He opened and closed his hands.
The nurse bustled in. "I'm so glad you've recovered, Tsuchiya-kun. We thought we might lose you."
He let his gaze wander to her.
I thought I was lost as well. I was slipping away. I was nothing. I had resigned myself. But she...She saved me. Miracle. Her dream. Her wish. I remembered.
He shuddered then, wrapping his arms around himself, feeling a small shadow of the old pain in his chest. His existance was fragile. He toed a thin line. A very thin line. He knew how easy it was to be erased...again. He'd bought back his life and there was no telling for how long.
He looked down at his hand. The rose signet caught the light and glistened slightly.
In the old days, kings and officials pressed their crest into a drop of hot wax to seal a deal. I sold my soul. This ring is my bond. A binding contract. A circle of power that Im trapped in. That she is trapped in. We need to break the cycle.
"Here are your things." The nurse smiled and offered him a black suitcase. He took it absently and offered her a vague smile. His head hung low as he followed her out the front door.
"You're free." she smiled. "Doesnt it feel good?"
A sardonic smile twitched his lips. He looked up at the sun. At the dome of the sky. Perfect little bubble that was Ohtori Gakusei. He'd only moved into a bigger cage. Moved from solitary confinement to being in with the other inmates.
He nodded. "Sayoonara."
Gripping his suitcase firmly he set out for the dormroom that used to be his. He assumed that it would still be the same as he left it.
((OOC: I assume he is NOT wearing the seitokai uniform. Maybe he's in a boys school uniform only black...just because. Sorry for not posting earlier! Ja! Oh...and we might get yet ANOTHER hurricane.....~_~))
