Okay.
Why does every French film Netflix suggests for me have the same bloody plot?
Just watched Kristin Scott Thomas in Leaving, and now everything else in my video queue appears to have the same plot: bored housewife [or countess] has affair with tradesman because she finds her husband overbearing/undersexed/inattentive/wotevah.
I'll be ever so grateful for French flim recs that are not either modern- or period-dress remixes of Madame Bovary!
(Well. Also. Warn me if they're going to be about tiny, winsome girl-children mauled by Fate?)
