I am slowly easing into the 21st century in vidding ;) Jump cuts are fun to play with but I'm still feeling my lack of proficiency.

Oh and apropos of current techniques I think I'm going to use the Joan of Arc vid to try to figure out After Effects. I have a feeling this is going to be a several month's project (and you will probably have to put up with more SPN vids in the process).

But yeah, I'm already anticipating AE taking a while to get the hang of. I have vids to practice on, but I know myself well enough to know it'll take more than just noodling around to get me up to speed, so I've got several books on my Powells.com wishlist waiting for the next paycheck...

I need to go hunting for books again. When I looked in the winter they were noticeably short on books for both Premiere CS4 and AE CS 4. I suspect I'll be poking at online tutorials some, but books really are useful. I'm hoping between references and a vid I'll at least start to figure it out. I can tell that I really need to look into it for adjusting speed if nothing else - it's just too hard to get things smooth in Premiere.

Aw, thanks! Leverage is a show I'm deligted to recruit folks into; it's currently my warm fuzzy fannish spot with characters I love and plots that leave me feeling happy at the end of the eps.
