Texas baseball...must you be so dramatic?!?
College World Series.
Game 1. Opponent was Southern Mississippi. Shoddy defense and a poor bullpen showing and Texas manages to accomplish a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth to win 7-6.
Game 2. Opponent was Arizona State. Texas is down 6 runs and manages to score 6 runs in the top of the 4th. Arizona wouldn't score for the rest of the game and Texas wins 10-6.
Game 3. Opponent is once again Arizona State. It's a see-saw battle where ASU would score first and then Texas would come back and score to match ASU. Again, spots of shoddy defense and it's the bottom of the ninth and Texas is down a run with one out. Cameron Rupp comes up to the plate and hits a home run into center field (very hard to do at Omaha!) to tie. One out later Connor Rowe comes up to the plate and hits a walk off homerun to win the game 4-3.
I think I've died way too many times watching those three games. I'll take those wins!
