Michelle Kwan, without a doubt, is my favorite skater EVER. She is also one of my role models. It's not a secret that I felt she was robbed in the 1998 Nagano Games of the gold medal. I cried in 2002 when she fell in Salt Lake City, and I sobbed when she tearfully had to pull out of the Torino Games in 2006 due to injury.

When she skates, she sucks you in with her heart and artistry. She made me feel the music. She's the only skater my entire family rallied around whenever there was a championship on television. My mom literally could not watch her skate competitively because she would get so nervous, lol. She would literally listen for my reaction to determine how well she did.

9 national titles. 5 world titles. 2 Olympic medals.

Grace. Beauty. Athleticism.

Heart.

Now she is in the U.S Figure Skating Hall of Fame. The only inductee this year. I think that's appropriate because she was definitely one of a kind.

Blog from Skating Magazine about the event.

As you can see, I am so freaking happy and proud of her, I had to share. :) If you read this far, thanks for indulging me on my Michelle Kwan gush. :)
