telepathy and shite
Ok. I got a job at the health food store. Its pretty great. people are nice, job is not bad, nice store. But ever since I've been working there, weird things have been happening:
- I had this client who wasn't talking, she didn't respond to my hello, she didn't say anything about prices, products, etc. So then, I don't know why, but I get this thought in my head 'she is mute'. So then, 2 seconds later, she says 'since you think I'm mute I'm going to say hello to you!'...
- I walked into the employees room and smelled something weird, plus it was really hot in there. Finally, I noticed that someone had left the easybake oven on at max heat. HTe thing is, the little oven is on top of the microwave, so had I not gone in at that time it probably would've caught on fire(it was 3, most people take their breaks at 12 or 5!).
- On sunday, my mom found this semi-precious stone on the ground in the parking lot of the store when she came to pick me up. She showed it to me. She was really happy to have found such a nice stone. Yesterday, I swa this note next to the cash register(that had been there for the whole week I guess, and that they had almost removed the day before), it said that someone was looking for a semi-precious stone that they had lost at the store. What are the chances that it would be my mom that would've found her stone, when dozens of other people went through there all day? So I ended up calling my mom that afternoon to tell her. That night I called the woman who praised us for finding it and was ecstatic. The problem: she lives an hour away. So i gave it to her friend who works at the same store as me.
- Today, I was bored, and I was imagining that maybe Guillaume and Marie-Ève of the Quebec punk band Vulgaires Machins might come into the store, and that it would be pretty cool. A few hours later, who do I see walking into the store? Guillaume and Marie-Ève! Weird! I mean, its not like they live here. They live in Montreal! Their parents live here though. Unfortunately they didn't come to my cash register.
Its especially weird cause last year the same thing happened to me. I was bored at work and imagining how cool it would be to see Guillaume and Mariève, and a few days later I walk out the door of the office and there he is right across the street, and a few minutes later she arrives too!! That was on July 31st 2004, today is July 15th 2005. Almost exactly a year later!
