Thoughts

Well, Andy's funeral was today. It reminded me way too much of Katie's funeral just five short years ago... It was hard seeing his family going through their grief. There's a line from The Lord of the Rings: The Twin Towers that I believe in strongly and that kept running through my head all day today. "No parent should have to bury their son". That can of course be easily ammended to "daughter" or even just "child" but the message is the same. That is the hardest thing in the world when you outlive your child. Not that I have personal experience with it... but I can just imagine.

Poor Mr. Jordan. He has a weak heart and didn't make it through the ceremony. Thank god for the family that he'll pull through. I don't think Mrs. Jordan could handle it otherwise. They have such wonderful support from friends and family, however. Everyone was there for them. Thats what you need to get through a tragedy like this. Lots of people there to catch you when you fall. Plus, your own inner strength that tells you things will eventually get better.

Rest in peace Andrew Jordan. I hope you found the answers you were looking for...
