Who are the greatest rock n' roll band of the sixties?
It's a hard choice, from by far the greatest decade in rock history. You could go with convention, and pick the Beatles or The Stones, and those are great choices. You could choose the Doors, another brilliant band. But you'd be wrong. Because the greatest rock n' roll band of the sixties was none other than The Velvet Underground.
That was the beginning of an essay I'm writing. Like it? It'll be better, not to mention longer, when I finish. I might post it here.
