so i do believe i wrote about the events of the other night at the mma fights, yes? if you need a recap here goes: the commissioners expected us to be there an hour earlier than what they told us, so they called us and rudely asked (more like shouted) where we were and why we weren't there yet. then once we did get there, they were extremely rude to us. as if that wasn't enough the evening was capped off by my partner being assaulted by an intoxicated individual that should have been escorted out of the building way before that when i told security he was drunk and being belligerent. so a couple of days later my boss finally asks me about the incident instead of getting back to me that night or the next day. so i told him what happened. he pretty much was in agreement with me when i said there was no way i was ever going to work another mma event again. which actually kinda surprised me. well then the discussion moved towards the guy that assaulted my partner. i told my boss that i asked the arresting officer what the guy was looking at for punishment. my boss said that he should talk to the prosecuting attorney to see if he would be willing to make an example of this guy, but then he said, "well i don't know this prosecutor as well as the other one." i said, "well, this is a good time to get to know him." "no i don't think i will. it just not a good time." , said my boss. i gotta say i was a little more than pissed. i mean, way to support your crew. i had hope when he was ok with my decision to never do another mma event again and probably not be willing to offer our services to the mma promoters which is a loss of income for the service. but i guess the best i can hope for is baby steps. i sure hope that if travis had been hurt worse than he was my boss would be all over that prosecutor and making sure this guy got the max sentence.
by the way, i found out he will probably plead it down to misdemeanor disorderly conduct which will probably give him a few hours of community service and some probation. however, he does have a record, so he might get more than that. but knowing how our justice system works i doubt it.
