Holiday!
Well, this is the last night that I'll be up on Mt. Ruapehu. If anyone was considering coming up this season - it's not quite the worst conditions I've seen up here but it's right on the edge. Unless we get a decent southerly weather system in the next few weeks, I really wouldn't bother.
But I'm reminded again just why I love it up here. It's home, in a lot of ways more home than Wellington. I'm dealing with the fantasies of quitting my job and moving up here by reassuring myself that there are upsides to Wellington, but frankly?
I'm going to miss the serenity up here.
