Gaming Laptops!

So, with the prospect of employment looking quite good my mind turns once again to thoughts of toys. Specifically, a gaming laptop to replace my aging Asus A8JN.

At the moment, there are 3 leading contenders

Dell Studio XPS 16. Cheap for what it delivers, and probably the leading contender at this time. Costs around $2400 NZ specced as I'd want it.

Toshiba Qosmio(a name that truly only someone with a passionate hatred for laptops could have assigned it) X300. Oh my sweet lord Cthulhu, it's full of stars. Price premium of course, it's getting on towards double the cost of the Dell at $4900 NZ for the CHEAP model.

Apple MacBook Pro. Mainly for the screams of anguish from the iFanboys as I load Windows onto it and use it for gaming, possibly with a 'Powered by Vista' sticker on the outside. After all, if a things worth doing, it's worth doing for spite. Yet again, paying a premium for it at around $4600 NZ, but undoubtedly it's the best engineered of the three.

So yeah. Three options - one is priced well, one is probably the best performance available today, and the last is pretty much bulletproof and powered by the tears of rabid geeks. Anyone got any thoughts on the various options?
