Still here
I love Idaho. It's been nearly 6 years since I moved here, and I love every minute of it. I'm in a different house now, there are baby quail coming up with their parents, baby turkeys parading down the street and taking dust baths and making this cool call to each other, and crazy chickens next door.
Two of the chickens I call the Raspberry Ladies. I was tossing them raspberries when they were in season and, now, if they see me, they come running to get their raspberries. Only raspberries are now long gone. I had some strawberries for a bit, but those are gone too now. I need chicken treats!
My dogwood tree's leaves are already turning yellow, and the burning bush plant in the back is turning red. The nights are dropping into the low temps now, and autumn is basically here.
