There is no power in hatred when compared to the power of love.
There is power in hatred, but its temporary, or if longterm, stiffling.
You see, love and hate are just two different kinds of the same energy stream. One builds up, and one destroys. When you think of what hatred has built, it is a long lasting deep seated kind of evil that permeates the land. If it is a hate against people, it consumes more and more of the time of those individuals in hating, rather than doing something productive.
Love is strong, because when love exists, it brings peace, harmony, the ability for different groups of people to get along, whether by avoiding each other, or by being peaceful and being able to co-exist and interact with one another. A farmer gives his love and his life to build a farm, to work the soil and then to plant and harvest through the good and bad seasons. A band of brigands, those who only take and destroy may have temporary power over the farmer. In that sense, they can be seen to be strong. But they do not build anything, and their survival depends on the ability to take from those who love.
Imagine what power love would have if a racist society abandoned its clingy need for racism, racist views and the meetings and general energy put forth into racism. Whole months and years of their lifetime would be freed up. They could enjoy themselves, make their life better, or, if they in some small way still held racist beliefs, they could instead of going out to destroy, they could try to outdo, and outbuild their former enemies. Imagine a racist olympics, where the proof of success, whether in business, sports, or anything else was not defined by you undercutting the opposition, but by being the best, strongest, most determined human being you can be.
In a way, the race to space between russia and america is one of those kinds of symbols. Instead of beating the snot out of each other, they directed their energy towards other pursuits. Influencing other countries, other people, and trying to claw their way into space. Which they did.
If they hadn't come along, who knows if our current level of space technology would be anything of the kind we have today.
Love, intense love creates wonderous things, intense hate only destroys. And from that destruction, comes nothing. Ash, what is the general value of ash. Nothing.
Think well then, my friend, before you try to harness the power of hatred in your life, and respect not those who do, for their path will lead nowhere in the long run.
