There are quite possibly a million things I've been putting off posting about.

Unfortunately, dealing with those million things is consuming all my home time. And during my breaks at work, I usually have jut enough time to take care of my bodily needs, and then check my messages. I can usually respond to two or three of them. But not always. So I usually need to triage my needs, and way to much gets dropped.

The place where I'm temping posted a custodial position internally last week. I just checked, it's now on the website. I don't know what it pays and it is out of town, but it would be full time, not seasonal and if Jess is still mostly first shift, it wouldn't overlap too much. Also, given that this is for a pharmaceutical company (and therefore FDA regulated), your attention to detail and your desire to follow procedures to the letter would not just be appreciated but be really highly valued. (Yeah, terrible corporate speak, but the truth, through and through.) It's worth looking into.

Thankyou. That is potentially useful. How long is the commute?

It's just inside Waunakee. From my place, during non-rush hour, it takes about 20-25 minutes via Hwy 30, Packers, Northport and Hwy 113. It should take you slightly less than that to go up Sherman and head the same way.

No offense, but every character you make seems to be the same: fatalistic.
To me, it seems you play that character already, every day, when you interact with other people. And yes, I personally find playing the same solitary character very boring, but with the way you play... well, let's just say I'm not the only one who thinks all your characters are just the same iconic bits with different identities.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the point of gaming is to have fun, and if having fun means you want to play one character then I'm sure there's a way to accommodate that, even when switching campaign worlds.

If you have a driver's license and a clean driving record, you might consider applying for a job with Madison Metro. I hear the starting pay is something like $14 an hour with full benefits, and you still wouldn't necessarily be driving because they have several clerical, technical and mechanical divisions. The only catch is you would probably have to shave.

Heh, if it ain't food service, medical, FBI or military, then there is no law governing hair. And only in military is there no way around it. There is a little thing called the religion card that people don't like to touch. In food service and medical, there are beard nets. In law enforcement there is opting to work in vice ( ... )

And let's run down this fatalistic. lantry February 22 2010, 07:18:31 UTC
When I joined your game, you had a very exciting sounding Mage:NWoD game going. I joined because the group I had been in was having troubles of its own, and you wanted another player or two and it seemed like a sustainable campaign. Premise? Mages living in Milwaukee knowing full well that it was controlled by bad mages who would kill us if they found us. Can we say, fatalistic ( ... )

I have almost forgotten to add the brief Mage:OWoD game with the high powered characters and the END OF THE WORLD. Fatalistic ( ... )

No way to help it really. But good to know you care. I seem to recall the girl having this kind of screaming day at this age as well. But she had not figured out how to get out of her crib yet. Boyness had that over a year ago.

I believe in you. Oh and don't let Rocky die. The only do it around Halloween where I'm living now. Your kids will thank you when your old enough. That or use it to claim you're insane, but you already went over that view.

Glad to hear from you. And thanks for the support. Honestly, Rocky is a once a year event here as well now, and not even on Halloween. But, we keep trying.
There is a local community group doing Rocky Horror Show next week at the Orph, and I got a chance to bring my kids with me to watch them rehearse in the studio. Both kids seemed to have a great time, and recognize the music. We are lending them a few objects.
