I like the crop/coloring on Elizabeth more in your submitted icon, but I am also partial to the more zoomed-out Atlantis (with puddlejumper!) in the alternate. I don't know which one I like more!

I started with this:

I definitely like the one you submitted more than the alternate. It's a much more interesting crop, and I love the vast expanse of green. My only negative is that it looks oversharpened, particularly on her shirt and hair.

My issue with these two icons is the pixellation in the background. Perhaps the use of the blur tool could fix it up?

Other than that, I love the crop you chose for your submitted.
