Get me to write, for you, a drabble detailing how one character of mine and one character of yours hook up and produce spawn. You choose both characters, and maybe throw in a prompt/additional request, and I will spin you SUCH A TALE. You can ask for up to three drabbles, go crazy.

what: meme, what: out of character

[ben & enfys] she enjoys nothing more spadetongued March 13 2010, 01:53:15 UTC
"I don't want to leave her," Rafael says, as Ben packs his bag for him, "I can stay, you can fuck off to wherever, man--"

"We had this discussion," Ben points out, folding a sweatshirt, "She's human. Do you think she wants us to watch her get old? Die? And she won't turn, we're not doing that to her. She'll be better off without us." And it's true.

He leaves a note and steals a car instead of taking hers. He wouldn't have done either unless Rafael was watching him.

He's fifty-seven and he and his progeny are like a black freight train in the darkness; they hit like they're on rails, and then they disappear. Rafael laughs enough for both of them, and Ben's smile is as subtle and welcoming as the shadows splayed in the corners of the best nightclubs. He only leaves Rafael alone for a minute, one single fucking minute, but for the newest, strangest breed of hunter that's long enough, and though it takes him only seconds to find them they still have a stake pressed under his ribs, and his eyes are huge and dark things under the soft fringe of his hair - he never grew out of those doe-eyes, Ben never forced him to, and now they fill the same space as other dark-fringed eyes and he can't let this be so.

"Let him go--" Ben starts, and a silhouette cuts into the light of the street, falls over his face.

"Ben?" Enfys says; she's still pretty, he notices, and she looks at Rafael, at her own children around him, and maybe she'd speak, but Ben sees the hands on his son hesitate - and he doesn't.

He doesn't kill them, for her, and it's the nicest thing he's ever done on her behalf, and the purest in motive. They aren't followed, when they leave town, and that's the nicest thing she's ever done for him.
