Yesterday Christa came out and we made Panda's sale official. I REALLY hope all goes smoothly from this point out.
I do admit after riding her Wednesday I miss riding her. There's a reason she is the one I've done almost all of my showing on.
It seems I have this thing about selling horses I show. Over the weekend I solidified my thoughts about Jed. We sent in his ad to the ADHMA website and are asking $3000 or trade for a (smaller) draft of similar training (i.e. lots of driving experience). Apart from something slightly smaller it would be great if it got along with the herd and was more respectful of our fencing unlike Jed who requires a hot wire.
He is a super-nice driving horse and is a pretty good ride too. He's just big. And destroys fencing. And doesn't get along with the herd, mostly he seeks to destroy Kash.
So we'll see. He will be much easier to place than Panda. He's not so sensitive and doesn't require as advanced of a rider or driver. He's not quite a beginner's horse when it comes to driving, but he's not a difficult horse to handle.
Anyway, today was the last day off for Chris and then back to the regular schedule, which really isn't all that regular. I think around 20 is going to be the norm for weekly lessons, which will be quite nice and hopefully get us back on track.
