Rest in Peace

Gordon B. Hinckley, president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, passed away last night.

Mom called us with the news.

He was 97 years old and has lead the Church the last 12 years. During his time we saw many temples built (more than 50), finally reaching 100, plus the creation and building of many smaller temples that allowed more people a chance to participate in the sacred ordinances therein. He taught with love and compassion, he had a great sense of humor and worked tirelessly to promote the work of the Lord.

Although he leaves behind children, grandchildren, and great-grand children, as well as the church that he lead, he joins his wife who was called home a few years ago.
