In a Year
Went out with Mom today, took the boy, though I was debating whether or not I should take Panda as she needs the exposure. Truth be told, I'm growing somewhat fond of the painted mare and have really started to enjoy riding her, especially out on trail. She's less jumpy than she used to be and does really nicely as a lead or middle horse (she wants to "catch up" when she's behind, though, we're working on it). But it was good being on the boy again. Kash is a wonderful little horse and I wish I could ride him more. I wish I could spend time with all of them more.
I just remind myself: in a year I will have two classes left. In a year I will press the "play" button on my life and get over this tremendous pause. In a year I will be able to focus on my equine education and exploring the greater horse world. In a year I will be able to really start teaching (both horse and art related). In a year I will be able to afford my horses without having to board my mother's.
In a year and four months I will be graduate. I will have my second degree. I will be able to dive into my life and embrace what it brings me.
