Last week before school started back up I went and visited Judy, my old employer. I spent three and a half years working for her in exercising, grooming, and training her horses. She is a great, wonderful lady and is like a third grandmother, but she does have some peculiar ideas about horses and drove me a bit nuts from time to time (some of you ( Read more... )

Hey Cori. Yeah um your not the only one who has seen this problem. Back in 2004 I spent the larger part of the summer and fall trial ridding a horse for a friend of the family who had gotten hurt on it. He was a 16 hand Dun Foundation Quarter Horse by the name of Smoke. The whole reason the guy had gotten hurt was that the horse started throwing a fit cause he was attached to this mare that the granddaughter rode. Well the guy got heavy handed and lets just say it didn't end well. Of course it did cure Smoke of ever wanting to pop up in the front end. So I worked with the horse I had him moving fine and listening to my commands nicely ( ... )

Thanks, it seems to be a sad story that replays itself over and over again, doesn't it? It just had to be Nick, didn't it? The one that I was proudest of. I was responsible for everything that mare knew until she was over six years old. *Heavy sigh.* Just grin and bear it ... or perhaps grimace.
