I went ahead and did my order from Amazon.de (i.e. German parafanalia). Instead of the usual glut of music and movies I focused on books and only ordered one movie (Watership Down movie in German!!!). I initially intended to get the German (original) version of two horse training books that I have, but ended up only getting one and then three breed books. I'm hoping to expand my "Horse German." I was happy and surprised to find that it seems horse books are cheaper in Germany, even considering the horrible exchange rate at the moment! There was a really cool-looking book on Draft breeds, but it's been placed on the list for next time as I had to keep the tab down this year. There was also one specifically on Fjords, which I also didn't get, but thought was absolutely awesome because Fjords are just plain snazzy.
Yes, it's my own non-drunken version of Oktoberfest. Instead of celebrating booze, I buy german movies, music, and books.
Time to do something productive *does schoolwork.*
