Let the Scanning Begin!
Before the end of the summer I am going to scan everything. And by everything I mean all of my negatives. From the B&W to slide, from recent to old, from 35mm up to the 2 1/4". It is all being scanned. This is going to take a while.
I plan on categorizing all of my photos as well, digital and film. I currently have all of my digital stuff organized by date and I plan on putting all those on DVDs in chronological order before going in and moving everything around. I will also be deleting some digital images that are useless/really bad and generally getting myself organized again as well as streamlining my harddrives.
It's also a bit of a race against the clock as color negatives last about 10 years, maybe 20 if you're lucky, so I really need to get the colors done before they start deteriorating. I need to get down and ask Mr. Grant about slides and if they last a bit longer than the color negatives.
And yes, I'm back from Utah. The trip went quite well and I enjoyed being able to go out and ride in the mountains. I must admit that I missed my horses.
