It's a bit of a shame I missed out on videoing Friday because she did buck it out pretty spectacularly, but it's also nice not having video of her being most unhappy and me fumbling a little to figure out how best to work her through it. But this is Thursday and today.
I rode Talon and Tru-D during lessons this morning. My 9:30 canceled so I worked Christy's two mares early and was able to hit Home Depot to pick up Chris' birthday present.
Jolene's owner is pretty pleased with her progress thusfar, which I am grateful for. I had asked her if she tip-toed around Jolene as I was thinking of her reactivity and she responded that she had done some things with tarps and such, but never had Jolene buck. At that point I'm thinking to myself- ah, she has been overwhelmed in the past and not taught how to work through and seek answers from the human involved and, better yet, freaking out made the scary thing go away.
This made me really pleased with those moments you see in the video where she initially goes "oh crap!" and then notices me and says "hey can you give me some guidance here?"
