I forgot my keys and phone at the property so I bolted back and forth as my student pulled tack and brushed down her horse. I was pleasantly surprised as I ran down and across the road and then hopped the fence and ran to the arena that I wasn't gasping for breath. My legs weren't tired and I picked up a pretty quick pace back and while my nostrils stung slightly from the cooling air I wasn't panting and I felt like my heart rate dropped pretty quickly. It was NICE. I imagine I could run a lot more than the 4-500m round trip if I wasn't rushing and going as fast as I could manage. I haven't done much running for the sake of running, but it is nice to see that fitness marker there from all the other active things I do both working and the "extra" I try to work in even if it doesn't feel like much.
