That looks pretty handy! He's such a big fellow- I wouldn't be shocked if he didn't need all those holes. I do love those star wheels. I have the flower one and it's so handy.

I may eventually have her make another one so I have something for regular sized horses that is also super adjustable!

Tiny he is not! I'm crossing my fingers he stays under 17.2 hh. I think this is Chris' way of sneaking in a really big horse. I'm unconvinced of the benefits of anything much over 17 hands and, well, Jasper isn't that tall ... (yet).

I'm wondering if my issue with it wanting to twist is that the upper portion is too high and it needs to sit down and around his nose more. I'm going to play with it some more and see if I can get a configuration I am happy with. I'd also like to try out the Orbitless one that is oval shaped and has eight slots to work with instead of six. There are so many cool options out there now! My preference is to avoid the using the bit (they get to wear it now and again) until the horse has a full mouth so I avoid issues with baby and wolf teeth.

They are. There's several different types of "bitless bits" or "wheel hacks" and you can use them like a sidepull or with mild leverage options. They are sold either as a complete noseband or some allow you to buy just the wheels.
