More From the Studio

This thing has been sitting on my desk two years almost. I have randomly picked at it, but haven't been able to do anything substantial to it until I started up the art classes again. At the beginning of today the horse on the right had absolutely no ink on it, just the pencil sketch and while I wasn't 100% happy with the sketch I reached the point where it was just "to heck with it" and just attacked with the inks. Despite the haphazard flailing I think it turned out OK.

Now to figure out how the heck I want to color it. It's 11"x14", which is a bit big for colored pencilsn but I did it on bristol board, which eats markers. Way too many details for pastels and I don't think the paper will hold up too well to full-on watercolor... Probably colored pencils, maybe some watercolor wash as a base so I don't feel like I have to color in every single little space. I guess I could also do that with the markersn but I'll get a smoother base tone with the watercolor.
