Excellence in the East
Just wanted to share some positive experiences I had around town recently:
1. MSU Salvage Yard. I often forget this great source of computers, bikes and desks is available. I got a great giant steel desk for 25 bucks. The staff was friendly and efficient, in fact they even took care of the parking ticket I got while parked there to pick up my desk (Tip: the lot closest to Harrison is not the same as the Salvage-yard parking lot, they're farther back).
2. Just a little farther East on Grand River I discovered Massage and Wellness. Now I would consider most massage places about equal, but Massage and Wellness charges quite a bit less than most places: $50 for an hour massage, and only $40 if you're a student. http://www.massageandwellnessonline.com/
3. And then toward the Eastern edge of Lansing Metro, I recently tried a new sushi restaurant: Maru. Freshest tasting sushi I've ever had, and they have great half-off rolls during their happy hour. My date had considered San Su to be the best sushi around the area, but has converted to Maru.
