I hate ATT WIRELESS

Here is the deal......I've been on their digital network for years.... my contract is coming due tomorrow and a month ago I thought I'd just upgrade to their GSM network and get a new phone. I had the service for a week and it sucked as well as the phone being very overpriced (found it on amazon and a few other retailers for much less). I went back to the ATTWS store and told them, either give me a good discount on the phone or I'll just return it and go back to my old service and find a new provider when my contract is up. They said they couldn't do anything so I returned it and went back to old service. Well, yesterday I get a bill from ATTWS for over 275$ for a phone I returned and service I never used. I call up ATTWS and argue for over an hour and am basically told that I will have to back to store with my receipt to prove that I had returned the phone. What the hell?!
I'm so glad I'm almost done with them... not that any telco I've been with has been any better... argh
