Ozzfest 06, fucking wow.
Only a few words to describe it: amazing, unbelievable, moving.
GOt there when they opened, saw BTBAM.
Let me say that by far WALLS OF JERICHO was breathtaking. I jumped in a pit with no other people but those who weighed nearly double my own bodyweight. There is nothing like it.
Talked to the members of atreyu, those scene motherfuckers (they cut it shourt because they were having aim converstions on their sidekicks), Nevertheless they signed my ticket.
Bleeding through was the highlight of action for me at second stage. Short and simple: jumped in mosh pit, thrown into crowd surf, back up to front stage, start own mosh pit, thrown up inot surf again, back to pit.
Chilled and watched Black label society and Strapping young lad, which kicked motherfucking ass.
Theres this crazy sideshow tent (grim Bros?). I bugged jenna to buy me a tick, and im glad i didbecasue that shit had sword swalowers an acrobat guy with no legs, a fireswallower, a hairy wolf man, strip tease, and torture master who likes sticking needles through his own face.
Main stage, i really wont elaborate on, other than the awesoem choice of bands minus the A7x bullshit which should have been cut. Dragonforce, hatebreed, lacuna rocked my balls.
DISTURBED- holy fuck, knows how to talk the crowd, completely made everythign emo screamo, poppy shit, garbage look obsolete and talked about it as shit, I have never had such happiness pour through myself (ok maybe under certain circumstances). THought it was the best performance ever.
Until SOAD fucked the whole place up. There were two very distinct points made during their performance; Sodomize all hot girls and that jesus does not work for a corporation. System basically put on THE BEST SET ever; EVER. It just seemed almost spiritual, i feel different as a person after watching.
So basically 6 free monsters, 8 bruises and 3 undescernable marks later, here i sit with no voice left, and weakness in all of my extremeties.
I feel accomplished.
