And I'm still boggled. I just read my first complaint about a lack of spoiler warnings for The Hobbit fic. The Hobbit. Published in 1937. JFC. And this was a LOTR fan. Supposedly. I suspect she never bothered to read that either, since the Battle of Five Armies is discussed in the Appendices, and that's what twisted her knickers.
Look, if you choose not to read the books your 'verse of choice is based on, that's your call. But don't whine when other people do.
