In all the weirdness of the past week, I forgot: May 9 was my fifteenth anniversary of participating in organized fandom. Yup, old fangirl is old. Does this qualify me as a geezer, old-schoolers? *g* It's been an amazing and overwhelmingly positive experience, despite the occasional bump in the road. Thank you to everyone who has helped me along. You've each and every one of you enriched my life tremendously, and I can't imagine being without you. *hugs the multitudes*
On a less euphoric note:
I took Sasha back for his follow-up exam. Both he and his brother are *much* better -- the constant grooming has stopped, and Sasha's little hide has healed up. Sasha got his vaccinations and some blood drawn, which he was unhappy about, but there was no drama. Cricket's biopsy from the little lump came back as normal, as did his bloodwork. Hopefully Sasha's results will be the same, and we can put the vet behind us for a while, because the second visit cost another $250. Yup, that's $800, for anyone who's counting. For a check-up, shots, and flea treatment. I should get diamond collars for these two at that price. Oh, well. They're worth it. I can always share their food if I can't afford groceries. *g*
And now to make my traditional Mother's Day phone call, and then write. A peaceful Sunday would be welcome. :)
