let's decode the latest Santorum froth, shall we?

Feb 28, 2012 10:26

When Santorum says this:

“Not all folks are gifted in the same way,” Santorum told a crowd of more than 1,000 activists at the Americans for Prosperity forum in Troy, Mich. “Some people have incredible gifts with their hands. Some people have incredible gifts and ... want to work out there making things. President Obama once said he wants everybody in America to go to college. What a snob.

We have to understand that among racists, calling a Black person a snob is code for "uppity negro." Mr. Santorum is saying that people of color should know their place, that he and his ilk don't want those people to be educated -- that if they are, they'll turn out like Obama. For those people to be educated, successful and powerful in American society is unacceptable and contrary to the natural order set forth in the Bible. (Y'all know that Jesus was a white gentile, now, don't you? Of course you do.) Besides, everybody knows that those people are much better at working with their hands, making things for white folks and cleaning up their mess.

The teabaggers of Michigan who were listening to this speech understood his coded message perfectly.

“Everybody can’t be equal,” agreed Paul Murrow of Milford, MI seated nearby. “Somebody needs to do the manual labor.”

Gee. I wonder who that will be?

teabaggers, racism, education, rick santorum, how you gonna keep em down on the farm
