I'm sitting out the last Presidental debate tonight. It's going to be on foreign policy and, oh, do I not have enough anything to watch that. Because war is the answer, and the President can kill anyone he wants, and the American people are not allowed to know where we're at war, and oversight and accountability, what oversight and accountability, plus let's fetishize everything, that's awesome!, and did I mention war crimes, and the geneva convention is for suckers, ha ha ha, and let us never forget the US can invade anyone it pleases, because white man's burden spreading freedom!
I get so goddamn pissed off. And it's a futile anger, burning in its futility and anger. And I do not need to encourage depressive spirals. Because fuck it, America, this is unacceptable, and there is nothing I can do to change it. This kind of change has to come from the people who should be regulating this, and there is no goddamn thing I can do, especially because so much of this is not actually seen as a problem.
I have no faith in the moderator, and it's not like anyone is going to point out Obama's assassination policy is disgustingly horrible and, oh, also illegal. It's all about strength! And decision! And "bring to justice" as euphemism for kill, which I hate so much, oh my god. And this is not seen as a problem, and honestly, no one wants to bring up the drones as a reason not to vote for Obama because 1) it's not like Romney disagrees, and 2) let us please not sabotague this, and 3) a Presidential election would only fix this if there was a candidate committed to stopping this shit, which there isn't.
So, yeah, Depressive spiral, because this is disgusting, and yet I have no faith in it changing. Which is bad. I'd ask The World to please make a big deal of this to maybe stop this, but there are a lot of people in this country who would take that as encourage to keep doing it. Because let's be contrary; other people's disgust is proof we're correct. And Jack Bauer is a hero. And so is Dick Cheney.
How much are politicans? Let's all pool together and buy some! Oh, wait.
