Pondering idly what would change about the Watch books if Vimes never married Sybil:
Men At Arms: not sure, but no framing narrative involving Vimes quitting the watch after marriage?
Feet Of Clay: ??? also not sure, but Vimes isn't doing the heraldry stuff, but also IDK if that matters
Jingo: Vimes never has the disorganizer, and also he only agrees to be Duke'd because of Sybil, so even if he gets knighted after Men At Arms, he's not getting Duke'd (of note is that carrot's the reason he gets both knighted and duked: area policeman-and-destined-king-of-destiny cannot stop promoting his boss, news at 11)
Fifth Elephant: doesn't happen because no duking.
Night Watch: theoretically could still happen
Thud: not sure it happens without fifth elephant. Even if it does, there is no chekhov's cow :(
Snuff: doesn't happen
