December: Fannish Time Capsule
[tell me what you'd like to see me post about in December!]
donutsweeper: If you were putting together a fannish time capsule what would you include? (any particular memes, fics, metas, gifsets, snippets of canon (or full canons) or whatever)
So I went back on forth on this about being a time capsule of my fannish experience or history, or a general capsule, or the date on the capsule, and what it was meant to include, and so here's a mess on my brain, put on the page.
5 things for my fannish time capsule:
1) Minotaur, absolutely, classic icon, where would we be without him
2) A screenshot of the front page of FFN, taken every quarter since the day it started.
3) The "I am slash" sweatshirt I still have from Library of Moria, the date on that is probably around 2004? I don't know if there are still images of that on the internet, I should probably try to find that sweatshirt and take photos or something.
4) Remember when geocities had neighborhoods and the like? A full list of those and the number of sites in each right before they got rid of them.
5) a collection of all the organizing-AO3-"own the servers" posts, comments sections, and associated meta posts. (I assume this is already in a time capsule somewhere within OTW intergalactic headquarters in the Andromeda Galaxy in the year 3945.)
