Three Things
- It is nice when promos make it clear that I shouldn't watch it. To wit, Laura Dern was on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday. They showed a clip of Marriage Story. The character says "because the basis of our Judeo-Christian whatever is Mary, mother of Jesus--"
"NOPE," says I, and skip ahead to the next interview. - I made it to shul on shabbos and the dvar torah was so bad, it was the type where I kept ranting to myself in a locked post about it and adding more and more info on the sources he was using.
I just feel that, if you mention a quote about a dying woman in a hospital saying that her biggest regret is that she married the wrong man and so lived without love, and then go on to extensively discuss about how you have to build love and if you marry someone who doesn't love you, you just have to do the work to build the relationship, and so it's your fault if you didn't turn the bad into the good... then you have vastly misunderstood what that woman said. In her dying regrets hours before she died.
...I'm still mad about this. It's Monday. - I am in the prestages of getting a cold where I can feel it happening. :(
