apropos of watching the heist episode...

Okay so I don't always "watch" Brooklyn 99 so much as "fast-forward through a lot of it because awkward", but in six seasons of a workplace comedy, of the main cast, two of them have gotten promotions and one of them has left for a career change.

All hail B99, the most realistic show on television.

It is also very refreshing that, for a show that foregrounds found family so much (to the extent that the show didn't allow Jake and Amy's bio families to attend their actual wedding), none of the characters act like keeping the work-family together is their main priorities in their lives. People go for promotions and are supported by their coworkers for doing so! They adopt children! They make various decisions about their lives that doesn't focus first on everyone staying put in their job for the sake of Don't They Know We're In A TV Program!

...I feel like I'm subtweeting NCIS particularly hard here, but, um. That was not the initial intent, NCIS was just so bad about this #NeverOverItAndIHaven'tWatchedTheShowInProbablyADecade
