So, we cancelled the contract on the first house that we liked. The inspections yielded termites, slopey floor masked by pergo, and two visits with no electric. So, the seller can have it on the market for a little longer.
Our realtor found a number of houses in a similar area. We ended up picking one on the opposite side of the same neighborhood. 3 bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage. It needs some updating but overall looks to be in good condition. We signed the contract on Saturday.
So, we start inspections all over again. If everything goes according to plan it will be ours by the end of next month.
Oh, to not have people partying at 2 am under my bedroom window. That would be awesome.
