Yup, I watched The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I don't see why everyone's complaining about how it's just for kids...I mean, I can see where they left out blood/etc. for the sake of the kids, but that's about it. I'm not saying it was a bad movie, but I wouldn't say it was fantastic either. I was slightly annoyed by the obvious biblical references, but that's C.S. Lewis (he was a major, major writer about christianity-and not just in fantasy novels for those of you who don't know).
I dunno, I've just seen a lot of other good movies and Narnia pales in comparison. Yes, I am aware that it is geared towards little kids, but I think that's really why I didn't like it. And I don't think it's ridiculous for me not to like the movie because of it. I have my own personal tastes that do cause me to distract myself from the overall enjoyment of the movie.
Anyway, I went on a rant when I wasn't planning to. It was a very well done movie and lots of people liked it...I just wasn't one of them. ^_^;;;
But yeah, when I was in the theater with my sister, I couldn't stop laughing...which was kind of obnoxious... Bunches of six year olds were telling me to shut up...which is understandable..
But I did enjoy the special effects. That's the only thing that I can honestly say I really liked about the movie. But I found everything else to not suit my tastes.
Yeah, okay, I think I should probably stop ranting now. I'm beginning to repeat myself..
