Well, I went to the place I need to go to for tutoring and they took my name down (for bio and english) but I might (read: most likely) won't be able to tutor, because I'm not in the national honors society and I can't be recommended for it because I haven't been in the system for two years...and I think sophomore year is the only time? Well, I might get to tutor anyway if they're in desperate need or something. Most of their tutors (probably all of them) are from the NHS.
I'm reading Lord Valentine's Castle by Robert Silverberg. It's a very good epic, high fantasy, but I wouldn't exactly call it my favorite. Very good, but not quite up there with something like Le Guin's Earthsea Series (in my opinion, anyway). Maybe I'm just spoiled by how good her style is. :P Or, well, it's probably just that that style appeals to me a lot, haha.
Nonetheless, if you're bored and in the mood for something epic, with magic but not a whole lot and science fiction (aliens, etc.) mixed in, this book would be good for you. It's basically about this guy - Valentine - who doesn't remember a lot about his past, in fact almost nothing, and manages to come in contact with a band of jugglers. Turns out he's a natural juggler so he joins them, but his carefree life doesn't last long - DUN DUN DUN - because it turns out he's far more important than he could have ever dreamed of! It's sort of obvious who he really is, though; there are tons of hints along the way and I had it figured out when I found out what a certain character's name was. That may be, though, because I would do the same thing if I had two characters mysteriously named the same thing. Well, anyway, that doesn't drag on too long luckily - maybe about 70 or 80 pages before Valentine finally admits it to himself, maybe a little longer.
I have a 98 in English for the quarter, and last I checked I have a 97 in bio but there's a test that's been added in that we don't know our grades for,so it dpeends on how I did for that.
I can see my fingers type in the reflection on the apple logo on my computer. It's rather fascinating. :P I really don't move my hands too much when I type so it sort of looks like they're having frantic spasms, haha.
I love spring, watching the days grow longer and longer. I love it being past 6:00 and it not being even remotely dark yet. It really lifts my spirits, somehow. Or maybe it's just all the writing I did this weekend.
